Use the Save button as your checkpoint
Also in the background, after about 5 s without changes.
In the editor, click Save after a set of changes and before launching or leaving. Wait for Saved. If an error appears, your latest changes have not been confirmed on your account.
Pomlet also tries to save in the background
After about 5 seconds without another edit, the editor attempts an automatic save. Another change restarts that delay. It also tries to save when you switch tabs or leave the page.
These attempts need a connection and can fail if the browser closes too quickly, the network drops or your sign-in expires. Automatic saving is an extra protection; a visible confirmation is the best checkpoint before closing.
Good to know
After a disconnection or unexpected closure
The editor also keeps a local draft and may offer to recover changes when you return. Reopen the same quiz in the same browser and check for a recovery prompt before carrying on.
That draft is not a synced backup: it does not automatically move to another device and may disappear if browser data is cleared. Check the recovered content, then save it.
Two tabs or people edit the same quiz
If another version was saved in the meantime, Pomlet reports a conflict instead of silently replacing the newer work. Keep your page open, keep a copy of important text and follow the offered choices to reload or recover your work.
When working together, split quizzes between people or duplicate one before preparing a variant. Organization access rights determine who can edit the original.
